Fomukong Health Foundation, Inc. is a not for profit, non-governmental U.S. Internal Revenue Service 501(c)(3) established in 2005 for the sole purpuse of having a positive impact on the health crises in underserved, underdeveloped, developed and developing countries. Some of these nations include the USA and Sub–Saharan Africa.
Program Areas
Project Strategy Phase I – Government Partnering
The initial strategy is to partner with the government of Cameroon and Senegal and work jointly with the ministries of health, social welfare and pharmaceutical firms and other interested organizations.
Project Strategy Phase II – Education and Prevention
Education of the population using animated videos, reading materials, mass media, open discussions, journals, and brochures to help prevent the spread of sexually transmitted diseases, HIV-AIDS, and tuberculosis. Our prevention strategy will also include condom distribution.
Project Strategy Phase III – Establishing Health Clinics
Opening of health clinics, mobile healthcare clinics, laboratory and radiology mobile units and facilities.
The healthcare clinics will provide care to those infected with a Sexually Transmitted Disease HIV-AIDS and tuberculosis. Health clinics will be opened at different regions of the country. The FHF will reach most of the rural areas using mobile healthcare clinics.
The laboratory will facilitate and provide fast accurate, affordable and reliable testing methods. Initiation of an affordable payment method for both medications and healthcare. The treatment of common gynecological diseases will be started at this phase.
Project Strategy Phase IV – Incorporation Prevention of Prevalent Diseases
The FHF will incorporate diseases prevalent to underdeveloped and developing countries such as malaria, typhoid, yellow fever, Guinea worm, hepatitis and related health problems specifically targeting the young and elderly populations.
Project Strategy Phase V – Increase Capacity
Opening of hospitals equipped to handle the increasing number of patients. The FHF will introduce the same healthcare strategy and model to many more underdeveloped and developing nations in this phase.
